Fae on Friday – Dancing with the Song of Pan

If life is dancing And dancing breathes Pan moves the body And thus we be!

~Doreen Stelton

Autumn has brought some losses, and blows, to myself and loved ones.  Nothing unexpected, and yet always unexpected, reminding me of the fragility of life.  And the need to live with passion and and round pointedness.

So last night I spontaneously heated some wine, in the method I enjoyed while in the magical city of my ancestors, Prague.  Cloves, cinnamon, and a little lemon.  (Note the sweet Mucha inspired cup which I purchased in Prague.)

While listening to music of my other ancestors, the Celts, (listen here).  A 3-hour remix of the highly dramatic Last Of The Mohicans soundtrack.  Let this music moooove you!

Then I lit beeswax candles on my altar and anointed myself with a liberating perfume work-in-progress creation  (highlighting notes of narcotic, seductive Jasmine and Cepes, or mushroom) and danced like a crazy girl.

I pretended like I know step dance, and Daniel Day Lewis.  I moved from clown to showgirl back to clown.  I aired my petticoats.  I rolled on the floor.  Hopping, spinning till short or breath…

Connecting with the body, the dance.  So cathartic.  Everything feels a bit more passionate and vibrant.

Can you also make some time?  Please please please  – To light some candles and connect.  Dance.

As for Missy, well she is having a rough time also, poor baby.  A bit itchy.  Wish she would dance.  We are on it though with some omega 3’s and a trip to the vet  and she’ll be better soon…

Here’s Missy in a sad mood…  She doesn’t like salmon dinner…

What music of Pan makes you dance, dear Reader?  What perfume liberates your dance?
